SUBJECT: PAC Commission meeting on January 13, 2005
Highlights of the recent PAC Commission meeting included the following:
• Very early estimates project a year end deficit of about $20,000 (with the partner contributions
factored in). This deficit is smaller than was projected at this time last year, and these
projections are always very conservative, so this bodes well for finishing in the black.
• Plans are under way to acknowledge the one millionth paying customer, which should occur
some time in March.
• While holiday attendance was down, October and November were very big months.
• New Officers for the Commission were elected as follows:
o John Dunn, Chaiar
o Larry Kelley, Vice-Chair
o Wendy George, Secretary
o Frank Mumford, Chief Financial Officer
• Several PAC standing subcommittees have been inactive for many years. The Commission
approved eliminating the Art Advisory, Program and Administrative Subcommittees, and to
deal with issues that may arise in these areas by calling on the Commission chair to appoint ad
hoc committees as required.
• Plans are starting to shape up for the PAC's 10`h anniversary celebration, starting in summer of
2006 and ending with the 151 International Choral Festival in July 2007.
