SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE ARCHITECTURAL
REVIEW COMMISSION
RECOMMENDATION
1. Reappoint Charles Stevenson to serve a one-year term beginning April 1, 2005 and
expiring on March 31, 2006.
2. Reappoint Zeljka Howard to serve a four-year term beginning April 1, 2005 and expiring
on March 31, 2009.
DISCUSSION
Zeljka Howard and Charles Stevenson's terms will expire on March 31, 2005. Ms. Howard has
reapplied and is eligible to serve an additional four-year term. Mr. Stevenson has reapplied and
is eligible to be reappointed to an additional one-year term. The Council Subcommittee
interviewed 15 applicants on February 8, 2005 and is pleased to recommend Charles Stevenson
and Zeljka Howard for reappointment.

Urban Planning

Member of an interdisciplinary team responsible for preparation of the Downtown Miami
Master Plan. . The document includes a policy plan and implementation guidelines for
development and design of residential, commercial, recreational and transportation
facifities. Responsibilities included data collection and analysis, preparation of planning
documents and presentation of planning proposals. Also inflated the preparation of the
Omni Area Redevelopment Plana
1983-1985 Principal Planner(198485) Senior Planner(1983) in Department of Planning, City of
Miami Beach,Florida.
Supervisor of the Long Range Planning Section responsible for conducting comprehensive
planning studies and coordinating long-range city-wide and neighborhood planning
activities. Duties included coordinating work of the staff and consultants; organizing and

workshops for members of the city administration; preparing neighborhood planning
