Dear Members of Council:.
I would like to thank you for taking another look at the intersection of Santa
Barbara Street&Upham Street to better accommodate bicyclists. We use this
intersection often on our bicycles and would appreciate any efforts to make it
bicycle-friendly. The intersection is an integral part of a viable network of
bicycle lanes and pathways in the city and deserves special attention.
I would also like to urge that the Bill Roalman Bicycle Boulevard be completed.
A finished Bicycle Boulevard would create a safer connection for bicyclists
between downtown and points of connection along existing and future
segments of the Railroad Safety Trail.
Bicycling is an important mode of transportation and should be considered in
any project under consideration. Thank you for your leadership not only for
the bicycle community but also for being a strong advocate for healthy living,
physical activity, and public safety.
Sincerely,
Dale and Sharon Sutliff

Dear Members of Council:
I would like to thank you for taking another look at the intersection
of Santa Barbara Street&Upham Street to better accommodate
bicyclists. The intersection is an integral part of a viable network of
bicycle lanes and pathways in the city and deserves special attention.
Often I ride my bike from Foothill Blvd.to work (at the Probation
Department) on Johnson Ave. and use Morro St. route to the.Santa
Barbara/Upham intersection.
I would also like to urge that the Bill Roalman Bicyde Boulevard be
completed. A finished Bicycle Boulevard would create a safer connection
for bicyclists between downtown and points of connection along existing
and future segments of the Railroad Safety Trail. Furthermore, I believe
that by developing safer bicycling routes, people will be more inclined to.
utilize (and enjoy) cycling as a commuting option..
Bicycling is an important mode.of transportation and should be

Dear Members of Council:
Thank you for taking another look at the intersection
of Santa Barbara Street&Upham Street to better accommodate
bicyclists. Currently it is awkward to get across the street and not clear what a cyclist should do with regards to the light switch.
Completing this intersection and the Bill Roalman Boulevard will clearly allow a greater number of cyclists to use the corridor as a
means to access SLO downtown. Please make this a priority!
Sincerely,
Philip Novotny
