Subject: PAC Commission meeting of October 6, 2005
The most significant information items presented at the meeting were:
• A budget report showing spending is on track and reserves for operations, equipment
replacement and repair are at an appropriate level.
• The monument sign for in front of the building is ready to be installed.
• Upgrades to the sprinkler system are complete and the "system now complies with the fire code.
• Plans are under way to replace the upper balcony seats, so that the ones removed can be used as
replacements for seats that are breaking down in the orchestra section.. This is an interim
solution, pending accumulation of the funding to replace all the seats.
• Construction drawings are being prepared to allow for a significant amount of work that must
be done to ready the organ box for the Fiske organ that has been donated by Bert and Candace
Forbes. Organ installation will begin in the summer of 2006.
• Various acoustic upgrades will begin during the Christmas break, and continue for the next
year or so.
• Plans are beginning to come together for the PAC's 10 Anniversary Celebration, A logo has
been designed for use throughout the anniversary year: (See attachment).
