SUBJECT: 2008 APPOINTMENTS TO CITY ADVISORY BODIES
RECOMMENDATION
By motion, make appointments to the City's advisory bodies effective April 1, 2008, in
accordance with the recommendations of the Council Subcommittees.
DISCUSSION
Recruitment to fill 16 scheduled and unscheduled advisory body positions was conducted
between December 21, 2007, and January 31, 2008. The Council Liaison Subcommittees
conducted interviews during the month of February.
No vacancies currently exist on the Jack House Committee and Personnel Board. A Tree
Committee.vacancy exists which will be filled with a representative of the Architectural Review
Commission.
Council Liaison Subcommittee Recommendations
Architectural Review Commission(Subcommittee Members Brown and Settle)
Appoint Jim Duffy to a four-year term expiring March 31,2012.
Bicycle Advisory Committee(Subcommittee Members Brown and Mulholland)
Appoint Kristina Seley to a four-year term expiring on March 31,2012.
Construction Board of Appeals(Subcommittee Members Brown and Settle)
1. Reappoint Bryan Gingg to a four-year term expiring on March 31,2012.
2. Appoint Michelle Mason to a four-year-term expiring on March 31,2012.
3. Appoint Jeffery Harris to a four-year-term expiring on March 31,2012.
Cultural Heritage Committee(Subcommittee Members Settle and Mulholland)
Appoint Katy Davis to a four-year term expiring on March 31,2012.

Reappoint David Booker as Member-at-Large to a four-year term expiring on March 31,2012.
Human Relations Commission(Subcommittee Members Mulholland and Settle)
Direct staff to re-advertise for one regular position that remains unfilled.
Joint Use of Recreational Facilities Committee(Subcommittee Members Settle and Mulholland)
Direct staff to re-advertise for one regular position that remains unfilled.
Mass Transportation Committee(Subcommittee Members Mulholland and Carter)
1. Appoint Stanley Yucikas as a Business Representative to a four-year term expiring on
March 31,2012.
2. Direct staff to leave the alternate position vacant and advertise again should another
vacancy for the Mass Transportation Committee occurs.
Parks.and Recreation Commission(Subcommittee Members Carter and Brown)
1. Appoint Ron Regier to a four-year term expiring on March 31,2012.
2. Appoint Gary Havas to a four-year term and expiring on March 31,2012.
Planning Commission(Subcommittee Members Carter and Settle)
Reappoint Michael Multari to a four-year term expiring on March 31,2012.
Promotional Coordinating_Committee(Subcommittee Members Carter and Settle)
Reappoint Terry Conner to a four-year term expiring on March 31, 2012.
Tree Committee(Subcommittee Members Carter and Romero)
Appoint Ellen Dollar to a two year unexpired term expiring on March 31,2010.

separate cover. All applications are available in the City Council reading file and for public
review in the City Clerk's office.
