Prepared By: Vi Sheldon, Accounting Supervisor
SUBJECT: SURPLUS CITY PROPERTY
CAO RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a resolution declaring vehicles and equipment as surplus property.
DISCUSSION
Section 906 of the City Charter requires that the City Council approve the sale or disposal
Of surplus property with an estimated value greater than $100.
The Public Works Director has identified the vehicles and equipment listed in Exhibit A as
surplus to the needs of the Public Works Department.
All of the vehicles have been replaced in accordance with the replacement guidelines in the
City's Fleet Management Program as reaffirmed by the Council on June 30, 1992 when
specific replacements for 1992-93 were approved. The listing reflects replacement vehicles
that have been purchased and placed into service over the past twenty months. The vehicles
proposed for sale as surplus property have been prepared for disposal which will be by sale
at public auction.
FISCAL IMPACT
