Hello,
I checked with Jonathan about posting the legal notice for the tunnel tour. He suggested that you have everyone
meet in a specific place in City Hall rather than somewhere in Mission Plaza. That way, we will be able to post
the notice in the City Hall kiosk 24 hours in advance, per law, and won't have to hang the thing on a tree or some
such thing. Please let me know where you decide to assemble at City Hall so I can finish the notice.
Thanks,
Sue

Hello Everyone,
The tour of the downtown tunnel is scheduled for 1:00 to 3:00 on Thursday September 3rd. The group will meet at
Mission Plaza and then proceed to the downstream end of the SLO Creek tunnel and venture upstream towards the
upper end. Along the way,we will point out various utilities infrastructure, wildlife, and other items of interest. This tour
was a result of a request made by Council during a briefing on the City's Stormwater Program. We have been working
with members of Utilities Staff as well as Administration staff to acquire a sufficient amount of waders for all. Please let
me know if you have any further questions or comments.
Thanks.

Hi Sue,
Thank goodness you know the drill.
Yes, please create the formal agenda for me. Aaron is in charge of putting the tour together and will provide you the
information you need.Aaron, please copy Cheryl and I to keep us in the loop.We might be limited as to the number of
hip waders we can provide. We might want to encourage attendees(aside from Council who we have covered)to bring
their boots! Also some disclaimer that the tour is could be hazardous or something along those lines.
Thanks everyone,
Came

Subject:Tunnel Tour
Hello Came,
I see that there will be a"Deep Dark"Tunnel Tour for a special City Council meeting on Thursday, September 3. Since
I am charge of the agenda process, I have a few questions:
1. Do you need me to create a formal agenda for you?
2. Whenever the Council meets, even for a special meeting, there has to be a legal notice announcing said
meeting. I will need to post this no later 24 hours before the beginning of your tour. The notice will require the
date, time, location, and purpose. I have the date, of course, but need the rest of the informatl"on to complete the
legal notice.
BI think that's about it.
Thanks,
Sue
