Following the interviews, the Council Liaison Subcommittee recommended the appointment of Elizabeth Thyne and Jonathan Ellis as the Alternate members. Ms. Thyne has been serving as the Alternate member on the MTC since November 2008. Subsequent to this recommendation, and during this year's annual advisory body recruitment period, MTC Senior Representative, Mr. Bob Wolf resigned. Staff posted the vacancy in accordance with the Maddy Act. One application was received. Council Liaison Subcommittee Members interviewed Ms. Louise Justice on March 11, 2010, and agreed to recommend her appointment as the Alternate member and re-designate Ms. Thyne to the Senior Representative. Staff subsequently contacted Ms. Thyne and she confirmed her preference to serve as the Senior Representative. The MTC Council Liaison Subcommittee Members have revised their previous recommendation that Ms. Thyne be appointed to serve as the Alternate member on the MTC as they desire to appoint her as the Senior Representative. MTC Council Liaison Subcommittee Members Ashbaugh and Romero are therefore recommending that Council appoint Jonathan Ellis and Louise Justice as the Alternate members and Ms. Elizabeth Thyne to fill the unscheduled Senior Representative vacancy with a term ending March 31, 2013. If Council concurs with this revised recommendation, the motion on this matter should so indicate.
