SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION
RECOMMENDATION
Appoint John Larson to the Planning Commission to fill an unscheduled vacancy with a term
ending on March 31,2013.
DISCUSSION
Due to the resignation of Planning Commissioner Michael Boswell effective May 12,2011,there
is an unscheduled vacancy on the Planning Commission. Staff advertised for the vacant position
in accordance with statutory requirements and four applications were received.
Council Liaison Subcommittee Members Mayor Jan Marx and Council Member Andrew Carter
conducted the interviews on June 10,2011. Following the interview the Subcommittee Members
recommended the appointment of Mr. Larson.
