To Whom it May Concern:
Enclosed is my completed application for a position on the City of San Luis
Obispo Human Relations Commission. Also enclosed is a copy of my resume
for your review.
I am interested in being a member of the Human Relations Commission because
I have a genuine interest in people and communities. I have always seen
the importance and realized the benefits of being an active and carina
member of any community which I am a part of.
As a reletively new resident of the City of San Luis Obispo I have made
an effort to learn about the community and to participate in community
events. I have reviewed the Advisory Body Handbook and have familiarized
myself with the City of San Luis Obispo government structure.
I feel that I have both the desire and the experience to make a meaningful
contribution to the Human Relations Commission. I am familiar with committee
work, have a sensitivity for community issues, and have a concern for human
services.
I hope that this gives you some insight on my interest and experiences and
that I will have an opportunity to meet with you to discuss the Human Relations
Commission. Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely,
Carole Hansen
