Page 2 of 2 AGENDA f A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN S'Z7BI5P0 AND THE MANAGEMENT TEAM EXPRESSING APPRECIATION ����� TO MICHAEL MULTARI, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR FOR THE CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO WHEREAS, this resolution is unique in that each succeeding whereas has been contributed by a member of the Management Team; and WHEREAS, Mike has been drafted from the public to the private sector league and his ability to deliver key hits and field the tough plays will be really missed; and WHEREAS, Mike Multari always cared about the better things in life such as parks, open space, mother earth, the vast heavens, baseball and good cold beer; and WHEREAS, Mike has brought to the Community Development Department position an unequalled sense of reason, organization and patience, thus greatly stabilizing the operation; and WHEREAS, Mike is unerringly helpful and unflappable; and WHEREAS, Mike's high integrity and breadth of knowledge has been an inspiration us all; and WHEREAS, Mike has instilled in us a passion to utilize an inner vision to look beyond our own personal paradigm to develop solutions to life's challenging problems except, of course, when it requires us to do something newfangled or out of the ordinary; and WHEREAS, the Police Department will be adding one additional police officer to handle broken window complaints due to Mike's expanded free time for baseball games; and WHEREAS, Mike has distinguished himself as the in-house philosopher, exhibiting the characteristics of being thoughtful, reflective, balanced and deliberate; and WHEREAS, Michael Multari is an extraordinary team player, as best expressed by his volleyball expertise; and WHEREAS, in all seriousness, the City Council wishes to express its deep appreciation for the insight, dedication, and professionalism continuously demonstrated by Michael Multari when interacting with the Council and the public on behalf of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, the city Council of San Luis Obispo and the Management Team extend best wishes, health, and good luck in his new position with the private sector. on motion of seconded by and on the following roll call vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted this 12th day of July, 1989.
