Dear Mayor and Councilmembers,
Recently I accepted temporary,part-time employment with the City of San Luis Obispo. It has come to
tiny attention that the Charter of the City precludes employees from serving on advisory body
commissions. It is therefore necessary for the w resign my position on the Promotional Coordinating ;
e ` •Committee, effective immediately. I have enjoyed serving on the committee the past three years and
was looking forward to the next three. I regret I will not be able to fulfill my commitment to the citizens
of San Luis Obispo, the committee, and you.
Please be aware that this was not an easy decision to make, however,it does appezu to be the best
course. Sometime in the future i expect to be employed full time, and that will most likely not be in the
y4
i.. San Luis Obispo area. In other words,as I examine my future, itis unlikely tli:tt 1 I would be able to ,.
a•,
serve my full term.
During my time on the PCC I have seen some changes and experienced some personal growth. It has
been a very rewarding time. Should my circumstances change,I would consider re-applying for
k.
advisory body work; right now I can only enco::rage others to volunteer. I am grateful for the
. opportunity I have had and for the support you have shown over the years.
RECEIVE®
Sincerely,
JUN 9 1989
