Dear City Leaders ,
I have been in touch with many of you during the past year regarding enforcement of city codes . Again, than k
you and city staff for your diligence in addressing these issues .
As the budget process unfolds I offer my unwavering support for the priorities of Residents for Qualit y
Neighborhoods .
Please make the items below a priority for all the citizens of SLO .
• 1 . That Neighborhood Wellness be retained as a Major City Goal, an d
2 . That staff time in several City departments be dedicated to projects aimed at ensuring the protection an d
maintenance of our residential neighborhoods as was indicated in Measure Y, with

a . Emphasis on neighborhood infrastructure maintenance ,
b.'Stricter enforcement of Noise and Unruly Gathering Ordinances, and
c . Continued emphasis on reduction of blight conditions and higher level code violations in our residentia lneighborhoods
After a quiet month with college students away we now approach of the winter quarter at Poly, with ou r
white noise machines cranked up high at night and earplugs at the ready . Please help us train the nex t
generation to be good citizens and landlords to be responsible caretakers .
