UNDERWOOD As a long standing resident of San Luis Obispo, I feel that a position on the. Architectural Review Committee would afford me an opportunity to make a contribution back to my community. Although my experience as an architect and builder is a valuable element in this consideration, my awareness of the sensitivity of our city and my concern for the preservation of the architectural character of the community add an important dimension to my qualifications. I have had the opportunity to submit plans to a number` of architectural review organizations, both private and governmental. These experiences have broadened my knowledge and allowed me to develop a perspective which I believe will be useful to our own ARC. As a committee member I would strive to treat each citizen with respect and apply regulations in a uniform manner. The exchange of information between the committee and a designer should lead to a project which enhances our community and satisfies the goals of the designer and his client.
