First of all, odors are so very subjective. The City has had complaints for years from neighborhoods near downtown regarding the smell, smoke and fumes from Thursday night BBQs. These do cross property lines, and complaints have come from more than one person. Might this ordinance give rise to again questioning that practice? Restaurants regularly emit food smells that leave the parcel of origin. Will these be regulated? How? Diesel engines emit toxins and high PM 10, which are dangerous to health. I am nauseated by the smell of diesel fumes, but must put up with it when on our streets. This is a mobile source of pollution, crosses property lines, and is unregulated. Some are offended by odors others enjoy. One person has an allergy to roses, another's pleasure is the rose garden_ Apparently, the same goes for the pungent, though not toxic, smell of marijuana. I am unable to attend the meeting and I hope you will take into consideration these comments. Thank you, Christine Mulholland 805 - 544 -6618
