I am in utter amazement with comments like `girls who want to dress up and go to
a party' or the `students are not allowed to have fun' in todays Tribune. President
Armstrong and the San Luis Obispo City Council need to grab the bull by the
horns and curtail these types of behaviors. For years neighborhood residents have
been complaining about loud, inebriated kids roaming our streets and causing all
types of trouble. Ah yes, there are the good ones, I acknowledge that. But when
3000 students congregate at 4:30a.m. (15% of the entire Cal Poly population),
enough is enough. It is a great privilege to be able to attend a University such as
Cal Poly and this comes with great responsibilities. At times I think some Cal
poly students must be raised by wolves!
Grow up! Be responsible! If you want to drink or do drugs, listen to loud music,
go in your houses and close the doors and windows! The rest of us good
neighbors are `entitled' to peace and quiet!
