This could also be a way for the county to ai r meetings formerly on KCBX . Such a signal could place a low burden on the broadcast bandwidth since a much lower data rate i ssufficient for programs having little motion . Such a signal could easily be picked up by cable operators, and could be viewed b ymany directly without the cost of cable or satellite fees . Additionally, citizens could use hardware that would allow pre-se trecording, or even rewinding/pausing during live broadcasts . In addition to some set-top devices, there are also tiny units tha tcan be used with a computer for recording or viewing . An example product is the Eye-N Hybrid from El Gato Systems . Thereare many others, but I cite that one since it is both Mac and Windows compatible and available online and from local vendor ssuch as Mac SuperStore and the Apple store . Apparently there was previous community input through the water bills, but having the billing on auto-pay those sat unread . Itmight be helpful to put meeting notices on the outside of the envelopes, or some kind of notice there's something special inside . Don't forget the small guyCommunity input should be weighed thoughtfully and not evaluated just on what has had the most response . There is no-doubtheavy input from contractors, realtors, architects, landlords and others drive by profit, not simply having a place to live . Pressurefor heavier code enforcement may be largely motivated by a hidden motive to separate low-income or otherwise challenge downers from their property. Code should not be used to force or pressure owners from giving up their property even if they ar eaway, hospitalized or otherwise institutionalized. Homes and vehicles make up the most significant investment that many people make in their lives . Their property rights an downership should not be threatened . People should be assisted as much as possible with low cost or perhaps communit yprovided resources that help them with their properties. Rnes should be reserved primarily for developers taking undesirabl eactions for profit . There should be transparency with regard to influence . Are there city employees funding developers? Do volunteers or thos eproviding input own more than one property in the county ? An example of conflict of interest is the Fire Department providing referrals for landscaping work that are actually (undisclosed )city employees. That's as inappropriate as was the use of a Rre Engine on public land (Laguna Lake) promoting a ballo tposition. With developers luring owners into projects built for profits, things they never would have designed for themselves, we se epremeditated tree-removal long before application, and projects with excessive destiny or height. Pushing aggressive rottingback of remain trees should be avoided . The tree loss both by count and by volume on lower Ella is huge . An older property inviting work is one thing, but real blight is a lot covered with asphalt, a box complex, and the large trees tha twere at both street borders of the property gone . Another former resident up the street (now landlord) went as far as to try to kil lthe large tree of a neighbor with capper nails . Thankfully it is still alive so far . New projects are seriously lacking on a nenvironmental front (solar water heater and electricity). I would like to provide more comments later . I hope that funds are available to assist owners with some issues. Let's wor ktogether as friends .
