I was eager to get the email to you before the vote today. My name is I share the property that continues to be published every time this issue has come up. That apartment in the photo is rented by me. I have already endured bullying throughout my childhood. I don't appreciate the bullying going on around me and to me. I am a private person and I do not appreciate the photo being published, as it has negative impacts on me. I forgot to mention in my last email, that after the Shandroffs contacted everyone around the neighborhood and the agencies in the city, the agencies all told them it was legal. My neighbors who were growing did not break any laws and were in compliance with existing laws regarding their medicine. So the Shandroffs took it further and brought it to the City Council. Their bullying conduct is actually harrassment. It has impacted me mentally and emotionally. I don't think some of you in the Council are actually taking into consideration what you're doing. You're feeding into their harrassment. You're also considering taking away the most affordable option for growing medicine (by calling it something else!) from many of your residents, only because the Shandroffs raised a stink to everyone in the city. Personally, I don't have the money to buy a fancy greenhouse with carbon filters. If I'm not allowed to grow outside by being able to plant my seeds and use free sunlight, what's the other solution? I'll be looking to you, City Council, for a more affordable option to obtain this medication. My primary Dr has me on opiates and I do not wish to be on those. I have endured pain from my spine every day for almost 3 years and I cannot function without my medication. This ban is stemming from one neighbor that was harassing another, the impact on me that seems indirect, is more direct than one might imagine. It's upsetting that most of you are going along and participating in this. As I said in my last email, there's more important things to take care of in SLO. I ask you to vote no on the odor ban. To vote yes would be further participating in the Shandroffs bullying. Thank you for your time.
