Ub iC tm1 j- My name is Michele Hamilton and I am an 11 year resident of the Arbors neighborhood off of Tank Farm road in San Luis Obispo. I love where I live and am happy raising my children here. This is all at risk now since the Bunyon Brothers are starting construction on a green waste/ animal waste facility near our neighborhood. This is the same type of composting facility that was originally out by the dump, but was shut down due to extreme stench and noise to the few neighbors living near the site. Last year Bunyon Brothers tried to build the facility on Orcutt road, but the city would not allow them to put it so close to 1,000's of people due to sited health risks. They are beginning the project again without a permit. The long term air quality issues and noise from this facility would be terrible for anyone who lives in the Arbors, off of Tank Farm or near Orcutt road. If you've hiked Islay recently or driven out on Orcutt, you can see how close the project it to our homes. They would be running loud grinders, using back up beepers, all types of green waste (including poison oak) and animal waste particulates will be in the air and carried by our famous San Luis Obispo winds. The original project estimated they'd have about 250 large diesel trucks coming in and out off of Tank Farm and Orcutt. This project makes absolutely NO sense at this location. 1,000's of people currently live within less than a mile of the site and there are another 304 residential units planned for the Righetti Ranch project on Tank Farm road. The negative health and safety impacts to the community are too great to not address this issue immediately. Please contact me to let me know what you are doing to address this unpermitted project. We have a group of concerned citizens who are ready to take action. Please le me know how we can help. Thank you for your time and efforts, Michele Hamilton 805 - 300 -7342
