Despite its extremely good condition and professional management (I am not managing the rental myself), I have to prove to the city that I am in compliance which is in my opinion excessive and onerous. I would rather offer evidence in some way that the lease agreement proves there are only 3 people living in a 2 bedroom condo and all the necessary safety documentation is already on file from the escrow. Isn't this a possibility instead of this invasive process that is being proposed? Wouldn't it be better to spend money on increasing the police enforcement for noise regulation after 10:00 p.m. (as is the case in Santa Cruz) and focus on the obvious offenders?
