MINUTES
City Council Hearing Room, 990 Palm Street
Wednesday, December 7, 2005 7:00 p.m.
CALL TO ORDER: Chair Peter Dunan called the meeting to order at 6:59 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Chair Pete Dunan, Commissioners: Gary Clay, Bill Pyper, John Knight, Don
Dollar and Jill Lemieux
ABSENT: NONE
STAFF: Director Paul LeSage, Linda Fitzgerald, Todd Bunte, Doug Carscaden and
Ashley Blake
CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES:
The minutes of the November 2, 2005 meetings were approved as submitted.
1. Volunteer of the Month
LeSage talked about Tyler LeSage, who will be at the January PRC meeting to receive the November
Volunteer of the Month award.
2. Laguna Lake Disc Golf Course: Layout and Donation
LeSage discussed this staff report and introduced Logan Miller from the SLO Throwers. Miller
presented a slideshow presentation to the Commissioners about a temporary disc golf course at Laguna
Lake.
Commission discussed the item.
Recommendation:
Receive information from the San Luis Obispo Throwers on a disc course at Laguna Lake and approve
the installation of a temporary course.
(Pyper/Lemieux; 7 yes: 0 no).
3. Staff Presentation
Todd Bunte introduced five donors/volunteers from the Laguna Lake Golf Course: Jim Frye, Dan Hinz,
Joe Johnson, Bob Bryn, and Sam Kochprapha.
4. Director’s Report
LeSage briefed the Commission on the following projects:
▪ Update on all ongoing projects
5. Staff Report
Todd Bunte gave the Commissioners a slideshow presentation and updated on projects at the Laguna
Lake Golf Course.
6. Committee Reports
Commissioners gave reports on Committees they attended.

7. Communications
-Bill Pyper reported on the Sesquicentennial Steering Committee.
-The December PRC meeting is Paul LeSage’s last one as the director.

The meeting adjourned at 8:20 pm to the Parks and Recreation Commission meeting on January 4,
2006.
