REGULAR ITEMS
1. Review of the Jack House Gift Agreement - Stockton
Stockton received the itemized list of the Loren Nicholson gifts from Toni Kincaid on 2/15/11.
Stockton wanted to confirm that the gift agreement was thoroughly completed. In addition Stockton
wanted confirmation that the description or photo of each item was taken down to ensure proper
record keeping. Kincaid assured Stockton that the forms had been completed and handed over to
Christine Wallace to accept.
Stockton read from the Gift Agreement stating that the Jack House Committee shall have control
over the items and asked committee members to assist in the display of the items in the house.
Batterson clarified that the control as stated in the gift agreement allowed the Jack House
Committee to delegate the storage and display of the items to the docents. The Jack House
Committee agrees that retention, disposal, storage and display of the items will be left to the docents
to do with as they see fit. Batterson did suggest that Christine Wallace could edit the agreement
form to include a Jack House Committee Chair signature line to be able to accept the items on
behalf of the Jack House Committee.

2. Display of Antique Cars – Kincaid
Kincaid’s contact Linda Brownson who is donating hats to the Mother’s Day event is interested in
parking 1929 Ford Model A cars at the Jack House for the Mother’s Day event as well. The
Brownson’s are involved in a vintage car club and would have access to 2 or 3 Model A’s to park
on the grounds to be viewed during the event. The cars all have their own insurance.
3. Staff Reports and Updates: Parks and Recreation/Public Works
Ogden reported on the following:
The sewer main project is scheduled for April 4- April 15. Although a one week project is
preferred there is a possibility for the project to last two weeks. If the project is not completed on
Friday, April 8 there will not be restroom access for the Sunday, April 10 tour date.
4. Docent Activities
Kincaid reported on the following:
Lois Crotzer, Chuck Crotzer and Ursula Campbell have been working diligently cleaning out the
gift shop. The interior has been painted, they have new ideas for continuing the Jack House displays
into the Wash House area to encourage people to tour the gift shop and make purchases. New items
will be for sale including new purses and magnets.
Buggy shed doors have been painted and there are plans for lighting and dustboards to keep the
inside cleaner.
Fence panels are installed and painted.
Azaleas have been planted in front of the house from the Christmas staging.
5. Member Comments/Communications
Settle – Mayor Marx asked Settle about the gazebo project and its progress. Settle asked how the
sub-committee was progressing on the planning process. Batterson – sub-committee will meet with
Barbara Lynch to discuss with the Public Works Department to allow use through the summer.
Mayeda – The new Wes Conner fence at the Jack House is showing gaps between posts and trim
pieces. He would like to see it get caulked. Work party? Rich would look into scheduling that.
Stockton – There was some confusion about scheduling for the May 1 Monday Club Tour.
Kincaid – Marilyn Forselles was attending the Monday Club meeting and was to report back on
who would be manning the house for their tour, Jack House docents or Monday Club volunteers.
Also, the house would be closed for the Flavor of SLO, a fundraising event held at the Jack House
on a Sunday.
Batterson – Elections will be held at next month’s meeting and Batterson and Mayeda would be
interested in continuing their positions.
