ROLL CALL: Committee Members: Ron Batterson, Patrick Mayeda, Craig Kincaid and Bob Gordon ABSENT: Betty Stockton, Gerry Johnson and Kathi Settle STAFF: Christine Wallace, Amy Voorhies, Meghan Burger, Casey Fodness, Allison Haskell GUESTS: Toni Kincaid PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD There were no public comments. CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES MOTION: Approve the September 14, 2011 minutes as submitted. Approved: 4 yes: 0 no: 3 absent (Stockton, Johnson and Settle) CONSIDERATION OF FINANCIAL REPORT MOTION: (Batterson/Mayeda) Approve the September 2011 Financial Report as submitted. Approved: 4 yes: 0 no: 3 absent (Stockton, Johnson and Settle) REGULAR ITEMS 1. Friends of the Jack House – Gordon Friends of the Jack House could generate funds and build community awareness. Gordon offered to spearhead idea and act as leader for a couple of months while a board of willing community members is formed. He will be contacting acquaintances that may be interested in forming a board. 2. Staff Reports and Updates: Parks and Recreation/Public Works – Wallace City Council approved the gift of Jack House papers to Cal Poly Kennedy Library. Incoming staff introduced and their roles throughout their trial with the Jack House Committee. Jack House Committee Minutes October 12, 2011 Page 2 of 2 The Docent Appreciation dinner will be held on Wednesday, November 9 at the Ludwick Community Center. Meeting will occur at 4:00 p.m. and the dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. Pat Mayeda met with Public Works on September 20 to discuss future plans with the rebuild of the Gazebo. He will take the lead in the subject to keep costs to a minimum. 3. Docent Information – Kincaid The Tribune will feature the Jack House in the Home & Garden section on December 17. Request to take off the screen door for Victorian Christmas. Casey Fodness will follow through and contact maintenance on the request. The Haunted House on October 30 was expected to have 20-30 architecture students that would be visiting. 4. Member Comments/Communications None. Meeting adjourned at 6:10 p.m. Next meeting is November 9, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at the Ludwick Community Center.
