I am writing to express my strong support for the styrofoam ban whose regulations will come
before you for approval the first week in June. Some business may claim that using alternative
products is too expensive, ie. a hardship. If you looked at the expense sheet of any business,
even restaurants or sellers of styrofoam products, you would find that the extra cost would be
a small percentage of their costs of doing business in the City. I hope that some public
opposition won't alter your commitment to follow through with the regulations that will make
the ban the Council approved a reality.
