Adjourned meeting City Council called to order by I:Iayor Stover.
Roll Call: Present, Commissioners Dick Sanders, Geo. H. Andrews and Hayor Stover.
Absent; Commissioners L.E'.Sinsheimer and H.A.Gowman who came in shortly after
the roll was called.
Petition of the Western Union Telegraph Co. for permission to place an
electric sign over the side walk in front of said Company's office received.

On motion of Geo. H. Andrews seconded by Dick Sanders the above permits

Petition of Eliza Shipman for permit to place 30ft of concrete ;call on
creel bank in rear of her property, Lot" 6 Block 200. On motion of Geo. H.Andrews
seconded by Dick Sanders the petition was granted.

On motion of Dick Sanders seconded by Geo. H. Andrews the above permits were
grant ed with the exce_r_tion of that of J.C.James.
After discussion in re permit of 111r James for park sidewalk it was moved by
Dick Sanders and seconded.by H.A.Gowman that the same be granted .
The report of Pound Piaster Boyden for the month of October received and filed.
It was moved by H.A. Gowman and seconded by Dick Sanders that the application
of the Western Union Telegraph Co., for permit to place an electric sign in ftont
of that office be granted. The motion Carried.

Applications of Joaquin Souza and A. Castro for lodging house and Ta_ -xicab
license respectively ,ere received, and on motion of Geo H. Andrews seconded by
L.F.Sinsheimer were referred to Commissioner of Public Health and Safety.

'4,-�. 4� in re financial assistance for the San Luis Obispo Band.
The matter was discussed by the Council and the above named parties.
It was moved
by a.L.Gowman and seconded by Dick Sanders that a committee consisting . :pf..the I,Iayor
the Commissioner of Finance..and Revenue and the Com.,of Supplies be empowered to
spend not more than 50.00 per month for public Concerts. Said committee to
confer with members of the Band and to come to an agreement as to what would be
expected of the Band for the above mentioned compensation.
I:irs "Warden also appeared in behalf of the Woman's Civic Club and asked
permission to place a drinking fountain in El Triangulo Park, also to remove
oar 4 posts, chains etc. On motion of Geo. E. Andrews seconded by Dick Sanderc
the above named organization were allowed to Droce.ed with whatever..improvements
they desired to :Hake.
hirs. Warden also requested that the City keep 'weeds cut from the
curbing surrounding the Park.
Mr-S. Spencer again appeared before the Board in re Grade on Santa Rosa St.,

between Mill and ?aim St. The matter was referred to Com. I.:F:Sinsheimer.,
Er. Burch and Er. Piper, to investigate and to ascertain the cost of extending the
;tone wall to meet the sidewalk on the proper grade.
It was moved by L.F.Sinsheimer and seconded by Dick Sanders that the action
of the Council accepting the bid of the E.D.Cole Construction Co., for improve -
ments in LTorro St. be revoked and rescinded and the check of said bidder be
returned to him.
The motion Carried.
Resolution of Intention 1:o.77 ( I1ew Series ) in re vwork to be done and
improvements to be madein Lonterey St. was introduced, It was move:. by
H.A.GoV..an and seconded by Geo. H. Andrews that the Resolution be adopted.
Roll Call: Ayes: Dick sanders , H.A.Gowman, L.F.Sinsheimer, Geo H. Andrews
and W.I& Stover. does; Ivone. Absent; None.
The City Attorney reported that I.Ir. Vaudoit had paid his license.
The matter of Gas for illumination in case of imergency, onthe lower floor
of the City :all was referred to Com. of Finance and Revenue and Com.of Public
.Supplies.
Commissioner Sins heimer stated that the Public Works Department was in
need of Sewer Rods. On motion of Dick:Sanders seconded by H.A.Gowman the Com.
of Supplies was ordered to purchase the same.
On motion of L.F.Sinsheimer seconded by Dick Sanders the meeting adjourned.
