Gowman, L. F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, and Y. Stover. Absent, None. The minutes of Oct. let, 8th and 10th were read and approved as read. Communication of W. F. good relative to lease for the premises known as the r �7,/_ "City Farm" was ordered filed on motion of L: F. Sinsheimer seconded by H. A. �" "1 Gowman. The following building permits were received and ordered granted upon motion of L. F. Sinsheimer, seconded by H..B. Kirtland.: On motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by John �;hapek, the same were granted. Application received from the Santa Maria 4as and Power Co. for permit to open ditch on Palm St. between Essex and Toro St. and on Essex St. between Pacific and Marsh St. for the purpose of Gas service connection. On motion of L. F. Sinsheimer seconded by John Chapek the applications were granted. The following applications were received for sewer connections: 1 R. R. Leslie - Lot 6 Block 122 Wooden Structure Cost 44350.00 _ Elizabeth Rainey - Lot 9 Block 201 Dallidet Addn - Garage - Cost $75.00 The following applications were received for sidewalk and curbing: ' Mrs. Maria Fredericks - 70 ft. stone curbing and gutter on the north side of Palm St. between Chorro and North Broad St. Lot 5. Block 12 Mr. Kelly - 50 ft. full width cement sidewalk on the south side of Pismo St. — between Toro and Essex St. Lot 4 Block 18, Central Addition. On motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by John �;hapek, the same were granted. Sinsheimer seconded by John Chapek the applications were granted. The application of J. V. Mitchell for a transfer of his restaurant license to CJ. B. Villa was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety on motion of H. B. Kirtland seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer. The report of the City Treasurer for the month of September was received and ordered filed on motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by H. B. Kirtland. The petition of C. L. Evens for a transfer of his livery stable license to M. J. Castro, the same having been referred from the last meeting, was ordered granted upon motion of H. A. Gowmm seconded by John Chapek. The application of L. T. Wade for a Taxicab license which had been referred for investigation was granted upon motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by H. B. Kirtland. On motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by H. B. Kirtland, Street Superintendent W. B. Burch was instructed to establish the proper grades on Marsh St. at sections on said street where the grade was not now on the official grade. Ordinance No. 65 (New Series) calling a Special Election and Submitting to the Qualified Voters of the City,_ %of San Luis Obispo the proposition of incurring a Debt and Bonding said City was introduced. It was moved by H. A. Gowman and seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer that the Ordinance be passed to print. ROLL CALL: AYES: H. B. Kirtland, H. A. Gowrsen, L. F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, rl. M. Stover. NOES: None ABSENT: hone. It was moved by L. F. .Sinsheimer and.seconded by H. B. Kirtland that the Commissioner of Supplies be empowered to purchase a car load of water pipe in accordance with specifications furnished by Commissioner of Public 6lorks..The motion carried. c There was discussion-in re the kind of globes to be used for the new .street lighting system. It was.moved by H. g.:Gowman and seconded by H. B. Kirtland that there be selected, 150 clear globes for the residence district and 100 semi - (/o diffused for the business section of the City.
