The minutes of April 15th, 22nd and 29th were read and approved as read.
The reports of the City Collector, Police Judge and Pound haster for the month of
April were received and ordered filed on motion of H. B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek.
The application of the Leggett Poster Advertising Co. for permit to place a till
board at the corner of Toro and I, :onterey Sts. (Bassi property) was referred to Commission-
er Gowman on motion of H. B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek.
The City Collector requested the cancellation of the following licenses:

On motion of H. B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek the matter was referred to the
Commissioner of Finance & Revenue.
The application of J. Kukar for :Taxicab license which was referred from the last
meeting was denied on motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by H. B. Kirtland.
The application of the Pickwick Stages for permit to build an entrance to the
premises at 876 Monterey St., also to place a gasoline pump and tank on the sidewalk
in front of said premises, which was referred from the last meeting, was ordered grant=
ed upon motion of John Chapek seconded by H. A. Gov,man.
The bid of Theo. L. Eaiino submitted on April 29th for the construction . of a Storm
,� jh..•� `r Sewer on iriarsh St. which was taken under advisement was again taken up. It was moved
by John Chapek and seconded by H. B. Kirtland that the bid be rejected and that the
certified check be returned.
The claims against the City for the month of April were read and ordered paid on
motion of H. A. Govmlan seconded by John Chapek.

The City Attorney presented an
agreement between Viggo Hansen and the City of
San
Luis Obispo relative to remuneration
for pumping right at the Laguna. It was moved
by
L. F. Sinsheimer and seconded by H.
B. Kirtland that the agreement be executed and
the
amounts paid.
On motion of L. F. Sinsheimer seconded by H. A. Gowman the matter the Storm Sewer
on Marsh St.-eras laid over.
', It was moved by John Chapek and seconded by H. A. Gowman that the salary of the
b� ,QT t-110 Assistant �� ,'ater Supt. be raised from $90.00 to $100.00 per month; that of the Teamsters
� � from $75%00 to $80.00 per month and that of the d EF laborers from $2.75 to $3.00 per day.
L. F. Sinsheimer moved to amend the motion by raising the salary of the Assistant
