HomeMy WebLinkAbout07/01/1918Application of Domingos Rozo for Taxicab license granted upon motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by H. B. Kirtland. On motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by John.Chapek the petition of Nellie'de la___, Rosa for transfer of Restaurant license to Arabia Ruiz was granted. The matter of the protest of J. E. Price against the Pickwick Stage Co. was laid over to the next meeting. Applications for the regular quarterly licenses were ordered granted on motion of H. A. Gowman seconded by H. B. Kirtland. On motion of John Chapek seconded by H. B. Kirtland the weekly labor bills were ordered paid. It was moved by n. B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek that the action of April 1st, whereby it was ordered that laborers employed by the City should be paid weekly, be rescinded, and the provision that such laborers be paid twice a month, at the' regular meetings of the Council, be substituted therefor. The motion carried and it was so ordered. On motion of H. 30 Kirtland seconded by E. A. Gowman the meeting adjourned. Approved this / `yr day of 1918. T'rn reports of the City Collector and ?olice Judge for the mbnth of June were received and ordered filed on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek. On motion of John Chapek seconded by .3. iirtland the application of C.J. Bassi for Sewer connection on Osos Street between Peach and LIM Street was granted . Relative to the matter of the protest of j. R. °rice against the Pickwick Stage Co., the City Attorney was of the opinion that t•;e matter had no place before the Council, therefore required no actior_ by the said Body. On motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded .by John Chapek the regular monthly bills were ordered paid. It was ;roved by John Chapek and seconded by H .A.Gowman that Resolution No. 103 S( =dew Series ) directing the Clerk to advertise for bids for one new Ford automobile qez� ct,,c chassis be adopted. Commissioner Sinsheimer moved to amend the motion by the provision that the Resolution call for a new ford or any other make. The amendment was lost for the lack of a second.
