A petition requesting the transfer of a one half ( 1/2 ) interest in the Retail Liquor Business of Ed. Martin to Paul Sada was received, and on motion of H.R. Kirtland adconded by John Chapek was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety . On motion of H.P. Kirtlsnd seconded by John Chapek the application of Theodore Brown and Peter Lukas for a Restaurant and Restaurant Liquor license :*.gas referred r.. to Commissioner Gowman for investigation. On motion of H.°. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek the Santa Haria Gas and. Power Company were granted permit to open trench on Pacific Street between i?orro Street and Osos Street and on Hathaway Avenue at the intersection of Toro and Sycamore Street. The la.bor bills were ordered paid on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by H.A. Gowman. Mr. :lerrifield addresed the Board relative to certain needed improvements at the Auto Camp Ground:. ^Natter left to CO- Missioner Chapek and Street Superintendent. On Notion of r'. b. Communication received from the League of California Municipalities in re the amendment to the existing law 'now pending in the Legislature , which has to do with the distribution of -funds received by the State as proceeds of the Motor Vehicle Lieense Tax. a The Clerk was directed to communicate with our representatives at Sacramento requesting ,:;The � them to use their efforts to further the passage of the amendment. The same were granted on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek. On motion of H.S. Kirland seconded by John Chapek the application of Fred Estrada for permission to conduct a Lodging House at 668 Higuera Street , was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety.for investigation. The report of the City Clark for the month of January and those of the City Collector and Police Judge for the month of February were received and ordered filed on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek. The application of Theodore Brown and Peter Lukas for a Restaurant and Restaurant Liquor license and the petition of Ed. Martin for a transfer of one half -1/2- interest in his Retail Liquor License to Paul Sada all having been referred from the last meeting ,were ordered granted on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by H.B. Kirtland. An applicationwas received from Stanley J. Popeney requesting permit to operate a Motor Stage line betweet the City of San Luis Obispo and Avila, also from J.E. Price of the Red Star Stage Line,for permit to operate Motor Stage line between the City of San Luis Obispo and the town of Cambtia and intermediate points. It was moved by H.A. Gowman.and. seconded by H.B.. Kirtland that the hearing of the above named petitions be .set for Monday, March 10th at 7 :30 P.M., and that due notice . be given by publication. The affidavit of W.B. Burch -. Street Supt. that he had posted copies of the Notice of Improvement of-the proposed Storm Sewer work in accordance with Resolution of Intention No. -116 ( New Sereis ), together withthe Proof of Publication of,the same was presented to the Board. Resolution No. 113 ( New.Series ) Ordering the work of constructing Concrete Pipe Storm Sewers in the City of San Luis Obispo on Marsh-Street between Broad Street and San Luis Obispo Creek: on Broad Street between Marsh street and Pismo street; on Pacific street between Broad street and Chorro street; on Chorro street between Pacific and Pismo street; on Pismo street between Chorro and Osos street and ori.::0sos: 1 Street between Marsh street and San Luis Obispo Creek and directing.the Clerk to... advertise for bids for doing said work was presented On motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek the-Resolution was adopted by the following vote: Ayes : H.B. Kirtland, H.A. Gowman, L.F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, W.M. Stover. Noes : None.. Absent None. Geo L. Howard of the.Santa Maria Gas & Power Company was present and called 0 .. �,,,,attention to the fact that the contract of that company with the city of San Luis Obispo ,�— Gfor Street Lighting had expired. It was moved by H.A.,Gowman and seconded.by H.B. Kirtland that the City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for Lighting the City with Gas under similar conditions.of the former contract Bids to be submitted March 10th at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
