Sinsheimer, John Chapek, W.I,1. Stover. Absent, None. The application of the I.D.E.S. Hall Association for permit to erect a dr.nee hall and lodge room on lots 11 -12 block 63 — Fission Orchard Tract , at a Cost of $ 6000.00 was granted 14�" on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by H.B. Kirtland. On motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by H.A, Gowman the Santa 1aria Gas & Power Company were granted permit for Street openings at_the.following named locations: On Higuera Street at corner of Chorro Street On Marsh Street between Essex and Johnson Street On Higuera Street between Essex and Johnson Street On Larsh Street between Nipomo and Broad Street and on Carmel Street at corner of Buchon Street. On motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek the report of the City u le7k for the month of February was received and ordered filed. by Kirtland it was ordered that the following On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded A.B. amounts be transferred from the General Fund to the various other Funds; to wit; From the General Fund to Fire Department Fund 821.50 A sealed bid was tendered by T.A. Ma.ino , at 8 o'clockP.M., this being past the " " is " Public Health & Safely 21465.02 41:1( fixed in the notice for receiving bids. The Council refused to consider the same and Street Fund 49927.70 Mr. Ylaino was permitted to withdraw his said bid. " ._ Sewer Fund 19150.07 /_ Administration Fund 39373.52 A petition was received from property owners on South Broad street protesting that the Southern Pacific Company had allowed oil and other objectionable matter to flow into a certain creek thereby coating the land on the border thereof with oil and ruining the growing grass. The matter was referred to the City Engineer to investigate and ascertain the cause of the trouble. The application of J.A. Fitzpatrick for license for Cigar Store was again laid over. On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by H.B. Kirtland the applications for the regular quarterly licenses were granted. -'` An agreement between V :.F. ?Rood and the City of San Luis Obispo relative to the con - struction of a certain ditch at the City Farm was presented. It was moved by L.F. Sinsheimer and seconded by H.A. Gowman that the agreement be ratified Motion carried. A sealed bid was tendered by T.A. Ma.ino , at 8 o'clockP.M., this being past the hdur OIA 41:1( fixed in the notice for receiving bids. The Council refused to consider the same and Mr. Ylaino was permitted to withdraw his said bid. ._ It was moved brT H.A. Gowman and seconded by John Chapek that the bid of 1A.S. Cummings /_ for the amount of $ 24,987.00 for construction of Storm Sewer be rejected. Unpmiously carried. It was moved by H.A. Gowman and seconded by L.F. Sinsheimer that the City Clerk be instructed to re- advertise for bids for Storm Sewer - the same to be received at the first �v'°�regular meeting in April at 7:30 P;LI. Unanimously - arried.
