City Hall, Monday, April 7th, 1919. 7 :30 P.M.
Council met in regular session, Mayor Stover presiding.
Present, H. B. Kirtland, H. A. Gowman,-L. F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, W. M. Stover.
Absent, None.
Minutes of March 17th, 24th and 31st were read. and approved as read.
A communication was received from the Service Motor Truck Company of Wabash,
Indiana, stating that they had established an Aviation Transportation Company, and
inquired for particulars as to landing ground in this city, etc. The Clerk was
dirocted to commumioate with them asking for further details as to landing, field, etc.
A communication was received from City Collector, Agnes M. Lee, requesting extra
help in her office during the month of April and part of May. On motion of H. A. Gowman,
seconded by John Chapek, request was granted..
The Midlands Counties Public Service Corp'n. requested a permit for opening a
trench on Court Street between Higuera and Monterey Streets. Same was granted on
motion of H. B. Kirtland, seconded by L.Y. Sinsheimer.
The application of S. Zegar for license for Taxi -cab was referred to H..A. Gowman,
Commissioner of Public Health and Safety, on motion of H. B. Kirtland, seconded by
John Chapek.
The report of the City Collector for the month of Mareh.was received and ordered
filed9 on motion of H. A. Gowman, seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer.
This being the time fixed for opening bids and proposals for the construction of
Concrete Pipe Storm Sewers as set forth in Resolution No. 110, (New Series) of the City
of San Luis Obispo, the following bids were opened and considered by the Council, being

Moved by John Chapek, seconded by
rejecting certain bids and awarding the
storm sewers as set forth in Resolution
give notice, be adopted.
Said motion was carried and said

H. B. Kirtland, that Resolution No. 115 (New Series),
contract for the construction of concrete pipe
N-o. 110, (New Series), and directing the Clerk to
3eselution passed and adopted by the following vote

On motion of H. A. Gowman, seconded by H. B. Kirtland, claims against the City were
ordered paid -- subject to approval of heads of departments.
A motion was made by H. A. Gowman, seconded by L. F. Sinsheimer, that the meeting
adjourn until Thursday night,-April 10th, 1919, for the purpose of canvassing election
returns, and to transact any further business that might come up.
Motion was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: H. B. Kirtland, H. A. Gowman, L..F. Sinsheimer, John Chapek, W. M. Stover..
Noes: None.
