Present , H.B. airtland, James Piper , John .Chapek , L.P. Sinsheimer. Absent ; H. A. Gowmvn. The minutes of August le'th, 26th, 27th and 26th were read and approved as read on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconded by John Chapek. A communication from the. State Board of Health giving notice of-the Eleventh Annual Convention of State., County and I.iunicd pal Health Officials to be held in the City of Riverside , Oct 20th to 24th was laid over to the next meeting. The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper. Annie Bailey - Lot 6 Block 26•- :residence Cost N 1800.00 I.Irs. Jane Forbes - Lot 13 Block 177 - Residence and Garage - 1000.00 On motion of James -Piper •seconded. by J.o.hn Chapek. permits to connect with the City Sewer were granted.the follovingp Errs. R. "r. Hathaway Hathaway Ave. between 3d and 4th Street. John Chapek Chorro St., be.tween Islay and Leff St. J.C. :cams , Garden St. , between Church and Ui)ham► St The Reports of the City Collector and Police Judge for the mo4th of August were received and ordered filed on motion of H.B. Kirtland seconder by James Piper. The applications of the Horn Laundry Co., and the.-,Ioma.ns Civic Club for license for Laundry and lodging House respectively were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report . A petition was received from property owners on Church St., between Osos and Santa Rosa St.., requesting that a Sewer line and .�:, V.iatcr main be laid in the said block. I u 1 Ordinance No.74 ( 11.5. ) ,, fixing the 'Tax Levy for the year 1919 -20 was finally adopted on motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper by the following vote: Ayes : James Piper , John Chapek L.F.
