City Hall, 7ednesday, March 24tY, 1920 — 5 o'clock P.Ti.
City Council met in special - session for the purpose of transacting such business as
came before it.
Mayol— L.F..Sinsheimer presided.
Present H.A. Go.vman , James ?iper , John Chapek , L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent : H.B. Kirtland.
The at.nlications for the regular guarterly licenses were presented and referred
to the Com=missioner of Public Health and Safety on motion of John Chapek seconded by
James Piper.
The Bonds of J.H. Defosset and L.E. Norman in the ar :ount of F 200.00 each,
were approved as to form by the City Attorney and on motion of H.A. Gowyan seconded by
John Chapek were accepted by the Council as a guaranty that said J.H. Defosset and
L.E. !;orman would engage in the merchandising business in the City of San Luis Obispo
for a period of six months.
The application of John L. Rogers for permit to conduct a garage at 305 Higuera St
was referred to Corra.,issioner Garb :an for investigation and report.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by Ja=mes Piper ,:!ar? E. Mlotz was granted permit
to lay 6O ft of full width cement sidewalk on the south side of Pismo Street between
Garden and Chorro Street, also to place a four inch pipe along stone curbing , making
automobile driveway across sidewalk.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper , Ben Maddalena was granted
permit to connect with City Sewer on Pacific Street between Beach and Carmel Street .
6 J.R. Wilson was granted permit to install a gasoline sidewalk pump at
2125 Broad Street on.:motion of H.A. Goaman seconded by John Chapek.
The petition of.C.A. i,iaino for .permit to place a Road Sign on the Joseph Rusca
t ' property at junction of French and Higuera Street rJas referred to the Commissioner of
Public . ealth and Safety fcr thorough investigation and report.
The petitions of the Peoples Pharmacy and the Electric Shop for permit to place
electric signs at the respective places of business, were granted on motion of H.A. Gowman
seconded by James Piper.
The applications of J.R. Tilson and J.P. Elackburn and Co., for license for
Cigars as a Sideline and Cigar Store respectively , having been referred for the usual
investigation, were granted on motion of H.A. Gownan seconded by John Chapek.
On motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by John Chapek the meeting adjourned.
