The claim of Earl Merrifield f cr refund on Taxes paid the City of San Luis Obispo
for the year 1920 -21 referred tb the City Attorney for opinion and report.
It was moved by H.A.-Gowman and seconded by H.B. Kirtland that the claims of
C.H. Kamm & Co for repairs to Fire Truck be paid. Motion carried.
' It was moved by John Chapek and seconded by H.A. Gowman and carried that the
Commissioner of Supplies be empowered to purchase a Clod Crusher and a Weed Cutter for use
��4- at the City Farm . and arrange for payments on same.

In re Hearing - Santa Maria Gas Company - at Santa ^Iaria,:it was moved by
H.A. Gowman and seconded by James Piper that the Mayor be authorized to employ such addition-
' � al legal Council as may be needed by the City Attorney-in carrying on the case.
SZ On motion of James Piper seconded by John Chapek the meeting adjourned to Monday,
May 9th at 7:30 P.M.

City Council met in adjourned session- Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : H.A.-Gowman,, James Piper , John Chapek, L.F. Sinsheimer.
Absent X. B. Kirtland.
On motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper the following applications for
permit to build were ordered granted:
Fred Bonilla -- Residence Lot 15 Block 5 Imperial Addn Cost•$ 1,350.00
Johanna Kirkeby -- Garage Lot 2 Block 34 Cost 150.00
Refugio Herrera -- Residence and Garage Lot 6 Block 32::.x. Cost 3,500.00
On motion of John Chapek seconded by James Piper , Fred Chiesa was granted
permit to build a Store Room -- in Block 13 Cost $ 300.00
The application of the Santa Maria Gas Company for permit to open trench on
Mill Street between Grove Street and Grand Ave. for the purpose of installing 26' gas main
was granted on motion of James Piper seconded by H.A. Gowman.
The following applications for Sewer connections were granted on motion of James
Piper seconded by John Chapek:
Merser & Kipball -- Pismo Street between Higuera and Walker Street.
Chas. Adlam -- Monterey Street Between Ida And Grove Street.
John Mc Quaid -- Islay Steeet between Osos and Santa Rosa Street.
On motioh duly secondedand carried the application of the Midland Counties
Public Service Corporation for permit to set 4- 50 ft poles and install 2 anchors on
Osos Street between Higuera and Palm Street for the purpose of servhng the El Monterey Theatre
with light and power , was laid on the Table.
