City Couna.il met in speai&l coaled session for the purpose of considering the matter of the discontinuance of services of "Water Offioers". Mayor L. F. Sinshe rimer presided. Present: W. B. Martin, H. A. Gowman, Goo W. Kilbern, L. F. Sinshe-imer. Absent: James Piper. It was moved by W. B. Martin, seconded by Ge-0 W. Kilbern and carried, that Resolutions relative to Pater restrictions be rescinded. It was moved by H. A. Gowman and seconded by Geo W. Kilbern that the services of the two Water Officers be discontinued. _'The motion carried. On motion of W. B-. Martin, seconded by H. A. Gowman, the meeting adjourned. Slater Garage Block 4 Weills Addn " 80.00 The following applications for permit "tp lay sidewalk and curbing were granted on motion of Geo..V1. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin: Edith Aumaier - 50 ft. full veidth sidewalk Monterey Street between Santa Rosa and Toro Street. J.J.-Hutchings- 50 feet 5 ft. park sidewalk on Higuera Streetbetween Essex and Johnson Street. Kenneth Beck - 50 feet 5,ft. pack sidewalk on Higuera Street between Essex and Johnson Street. E.M. Merrifield - 96 feet 5 ft. park sidewalk and curbing on Monterey Street between Essex and Johnson Streets also application of H.N. Lindsey for 66 ft. park sidewalk.on Higuera Street between Essex and Johnson Street. The Pacific Telephone amd Telegraph Company were granted permit to replace poles which had been broken by Storm on Dana Street, on Monterey St.between N. Broad and Chorro Street and on Pacific Street between Nlpomo and Beach Street., 1 1
