Ordinance No. 90 ( New Series ) , An Ordinance prohibiting moving buildings without permit from the Council and providing penalty , was introduced and passed to print by the following vote Ayes : W.B. Martin , E.A. Gowran , Geo. T. Kilbern , James Piper , L.F. Sinsheimer. Noes : None. Absent None. The matter of the sale of the Old Chemical Fire ``Apparatus was left to W.B. Martin for report. The City 61erk was directed to advertise for bids for Fire Apparatus, Provision for which was made in the recent Bond Issue, in accordance with the following specifigations, namely: One triple combination 300 to 350 gallon per minute pump capacit piece of fire apparatus w1-1,h two 40 gallon chemical tanks and with body capacity for carryi from 1,000 to 1,250 feet of fire hose and with tray of capacity of 150 feet of inch and a half hose Bids to be received up to 7:30 o'clock P.M. Tuesday, September 5th 1922. On notion of H.A. H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper the meeting adjourned. Approved this a / day of Z--07 Mayor City` Clerk. City Hall,Monda.y, August 21st 1922 - 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session - Mayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding. Present : W.B. Martin, Geo. C1. Kilbern, James Piper , L.F. Sinsheimer. Absent : H.A. Gowman. The minutes of August 7th and 14th were read and approved as read on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. 77. Kilbern. The following applications for permit to erect garages were granted on moti of W.B. Martin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern with the understanding that the same be erecte in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 89 ( New Series I now being enacted: C.H. Comer - Garage Lot 9 Block 7 Southeide Addn F.H. Osgood - ° Lot 14 Block le. Cost 120.00 Cost 40.00 The following applications for permit to erect and repair residences were granted on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern : Fazel I. Stewart - 2 room residence part lot 4 Block 39 R.Bassi - Repairs to residence Block 30 cost $ 500.00 Cost 600.00 The merchandising Pond of Geo. E. Gearing and J.P. M- aschmeyer with N.C.Brew as Surety was approved on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. Vl. Kilbern. �P The merchandising Bond of Wong Chueck with W.Young Louis as Surety was approved on motion of W.B. 'Rartin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern. The petition of J. Underwood for transfer of license to Callahan , Wagner and Callahan for the remainder of the quarter. ending Sept 30th , was granted On motion of W.B. Martin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern. Application of the 'midland Counties Public Service Corporation No. 55 for permit to set 2 poles and install 2 anchors on V ontalban Street between Toro 5tt.eet and Stenner Creek was granted on motion of James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin. The petition of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company for permit to replace a broken role on north Broad Street between Peach Street and Stenner Creek was granted on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern. On motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the application of the above named Company for permit to set one 30 ft pole at Peach and Essez Street was laid The application of the Producers Transportation Cospary for permit to lay 300 ft. of pipe from main line to Ice Plant -( 100 ft on Pismo Street, 150 ft. on Archer Street and 50 ft across Archer Street ), was granted on =ction of Geo. W. Kilbern seconde by W.B. Martin. The reports of the City Clark and City Treasurer for the month ending July 31st. were received and ordered filed on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo.W.Kilbern. Communication relative to the celebration of Armistice Day at Paso Robles was ordered filed on motion of W.B. Martin seconded by Geo.W.Kilbern. Claims of R.A.Carson Co. for $ 665.47 and W.J. Tobin for $ 1529.11, being first payment in accordance with contract for the construction of concrete culverts and se:3er extension, respectively, under the recent Bond issue, were ordered paid on motion of James Piper seconded by W.B. Martin. On motion-of James Piper seconded by W,B. Martin the Chief of Police was directed to collect a contractors license from M.E. BtLndy. J.O. Clifford presented a petition of property owners in the vacinity of Cypress Street praying that said Cypress Stre °t be extended to South Street. The.'-petition was received and filed and Commissioners James Piper and Geo. W. Kilbern appointed a 8ommmttee to view same and report to the Council. The Chief of Police was directed to make a specific report at the next m_.eti on all unpaid licenses. On motion of James Piper seconded by Geo W. Kilbern the application of ?ors. A. Brovelli for permit to place an electric sign at Hotel Granada was a_ranted. Ordinance No. 90( New Series ) , An Ordinance prohibiting moving of build without permit from the Council and providing penalty, was filally passed on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern by the follOwting vote: Ayes : W.B. Martin , Geo. W. Kilbern, James Piper, L.F. Sinsheimer. Noes : None. Absent : H.A. Gowman . Report received from Railroad Commission calling attention to certain infractions in the Fire Aiarm System. On motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilber the matter was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report at the next meeting as to cost of making the needed repairs. re
