HomeMy WebLinkAbout10/16/1922..7E City Hall, Monday, October 16th.,1922 - 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session - Mayor L.Y. Sinsheimer presiding. Present : W.B. Martin, H.A.Gowman, GeO.W. Kilbern,James Piper , L.Y. Sinsheimer. Absent : None. The minutes of'Ootober 2d and 9th were, read and approved as read on motion of W.B. Martin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern. On motion of•.Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin the following applicat Tor permit to build were granted : Dante J. Righetti - Residence pt. lot 1 Block 41 Cost $ 30000.00 Mrs. Carl Herzog - Addition of porch L®t 16 Block 103 " 200.00 Wm. Broeksieb - Porch enclosure Lot 20 -21 Block 25 " 25.00 W.A. Clink - Garage lot 1j Block 95.Isabel Tract " 200.00 John B. Isola was permitted to remove a building from,Lot 2 Block 7 to Lot 6 Block 15 , on motion of W.B. Martin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern. On motion or Geo. W. Kilbern seconded by W.B. Martin the following applicat for permit to lay sidewalk and curbing . were granted Virginia Murphy- 150 ft. full width sidewalk and curbing on the North side of Chorro Street between Peach and Sycamore Street. John Treacy - 50 ft. 5 ft. park sidewalk and curbing on the South side of Islay Stree between Broad and Garden Street. Jennie W. Johnson- 20 ft. full width sidewalk on the North side Higuera Street between Chorro and Broad Street. On motion of H.A.Gowman seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company were granted permit to excavate at the intersection of Broad and Chorro Streets for the purpose of laying iron conduit across Broad Street, also, to excavate on Marsh Street for the purpose of laying iron conduit across Marsh Street between Telephone Office and private driveway on Wineman property. The report of the City Clerk for the month or September was received and ordered filed on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W., Kilbern. J.J. Conley was granted permit to place a Barber sign on side of building at 1017 Chorro Street on motion of H.A. Gowman seconded by W.b. Martin. Application cf Mr.& Mrs Goodman for license for Lodging House at corner of Morro and Higuera Streets was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern, as was a ;so the application M.F. Turnage for license for Lodging House in the Hd.N. Kaiser Building. On motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the applications.-:of Chris Archuleta for license for Soft Drinks and Cigars Sideline at 1023 Chorro Street were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report. A communication was received from Jane R. Forbes in which complaint was made relative to drainage water from the Southern Pacific Co's property. On motion of W.B. Martin seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern the matter was laid over to the next meeting. An invitation to participate in the Armistice Day Celebration at Paso Robles was received and ordered filad, as .:ere also, oircular letters from the League of Californ Municipalities, Attorneys Association of Southern California and the Board of Supervisors of San Francisco. relative to certain amendments to be voted on at the November election. A Lease between Miossi Bros. and the City of San Luis Obispo granting to the City of San Luis Obispo certain rights to maintain wires over propeety known as the Tait Place , for a term of five years at an annual rental of One the first day of July of each year, was presented. On by Geo. W. Kilbern it was ordered that the Lease be accepted officials. Ayes: W.B. Martin, H.A. Gowman , Geo. W. Kilbern, James Pipe Noes : None. Absent : None.
