City Council met in adjourned session- Mlayor L.F. Sinsheimer presiding.

The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of

Pfeil O'Leary , Ed d. Kaiser and J.C. Gibson , one connection respectively on
Hiruera S;reet between Santa Rosz� and Osos Street.
The applications of A.M... Pettenger and Wm. F. Gore for sewer connection
on Grand Avenue,and'ABranch Street between Broad and TYipomo Street respectively, were
referred to the City Attorney.
TI-Ie ap- ii.-ation of L.A. Enos for permit to lay 109 ft cf full width
sidewalk on the South side of Hiruera Street between Toro and Essex Street and 125 ft of
park sidewalk on the east aide Toro Street batwween Hiruera and 'Harsh Street , also, retain-
ing; wall and drive way , was.granted on motion of James Piper seconded by Geo. W. Kilbern.
On motion Of H.A. Gowman seconded by James Piper the application of
W:.Y. Stover for permit to lay 136 ft of perk sidewalk and curbing on the South side of
Hiruera Street betwieen Toro and Santa Rosa Street, and 65 ft of same on Toro Street be -weer
Hiruera and Harsh Street, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works.
The 'Pacific Talephone and Telegraph Company were permitted to tempo-
rarily replace broken pole on Pvsorro Street between Higuera and Monterey Street.
