Present : C.M.Carpenter, Geo.17.Kilbern, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer. Absent : W.B.Martin. The minutes of February 16th., 18th. and 21ste were read and approved as lead on motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes. The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of Geo.W.Kilbern seconded by-Chase Forbes : G.I. Discussion. On motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas,Forbes it was ordered that the application lay over for one wee$. The City Attorney to advise the Council of the legal status of the application. - On motion of Geo.1- l.Kilbern seconded by Chas. The application of A.S.Mc Intyre for license for Restaurant at 1002 Railroad Avenue was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by Geo.W.Kilbern. The petition of Mrs. Mattie S. Fry for transfer of license for Lodging House to Mrs. Maude C. Evans , was referred , on motion of Geo.li.Kilbern seconded by Chas. Forbes, to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report. The reports of the City Collector and Police Judge for the months of February, and of the City Treasurer for the month of January, were received and ordered filed on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by Geo.W.Kilbern. On motion duly seconded and carried a communication from the League of California Municipalities giving notice of a special meeting of the League to be held at Sacramento, March 6th was ordered filed. On motion of C.X. Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes a circular letter from the City of Imperial was ordered filed for the benefit of those who wish to examine it• 1 1 1 1 1 Ordinance•No. 109 ( New Series ) , An Ordinance amending section one of Ordinance No. 22 entitled, " In relation to- Streets and Sidewalks in the City of San Luis Obispo - was - finally passed on motion -of Chas Forbes seconded by C.M.Carpenter by the following vote: Ayes : C.M.Carpenter, Geo,W,Kilbern, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer. Noes : None. Absent W.B.Martin. The applications of Foster & Kleiser Company for permit to erect - Advertising sign Boards in Block 1 of Imperial Addition - Broad Street and in Block 1 of Central Addition , Monterey Street , were laid over to the next meeting of the Council. Commissioner of Public Health and Safety reported favorably on the applicat- ion of Firs. Rochmond K. Anderson for license for Cigar Store and Soft Drinks in the W.E.Smith Building in Railroad Avenue., and upon his motion seconded by Geo *W, Kilbern the said applications were ordered granted. On motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Geo *W.Kilbern Commissioner of Supplies, Chas Forbes, was authorized to dispose of the frame etc of a certain old Ford car owned by the City. In re matter of protest of property owners against Bunkers of the Granite Construction Co : Discussion It was moved by C.M.Carpenter and seconded by Geo.17.Kilbern that the matter be continued pending observation by the Council, individual) or collectively, or until such time as the members of the Council can satisfy themselves of the actual conditions. Motion carried. Claims against the City for the month of February were ordered paid.dubject to the approval of the heads of the respective departments, on motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Geo.W.Kilbern. On motion of Geo.W.Kilbern seconded by CoMeCarpenter the Commissioner of Supplies was directed to investigate relative to some certain scales and report to the.Council, Relative to certain improvements at the City Farm: On motion of :.M.Carpenter seconded by Geo.W.Kilbern the matter was referred to the Commissioner of Supplies EL.nd the Commissioner of Public Works for report. On motion of Geo.lV.Kilbern seconded by C.Id.Carpenter the Commissioner of Supplies was authorized to purchase such valve stems as is needed at the City Farm. On motion of Geo.W.Kilbern U d®nded by G.M.Carpenter the City Engineer was authorized to install a culve2t drain at the south westerly corner of Liarsh and Car&el Street.
