City Council met in adjourned session - Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : C.Id.Carpenter, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : 1W.B.Martin , Geo.W.Kilbern.
The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of
Chas Forbes seconded by C.M.Carpenter:

The petition of Andy Holme and I:Irs..C.A.Custer for permit to hang board sig
at 1175 and 1361 Monterey Street respectively, were referred to the Commissioner of Public
Health and Safety for report on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by C.I,i.Carpenter.
The application of Horace W. Bickford for license for laundry at 639 Pismo
Street was referred jo the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on motion
of Chas Forbes seconded by C.i:I.Carpenter.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by C.I: ?.Carpenter the report of the City
Clerk for the month of March was received and ordered filed.
Petition received from A. luchessa etalpraying that the City's free Auto
Camp Ground be discontinued and that the property be used for a public park or play ground.
This petition was followed by petition of E.14.Merrifield et al, donors of the Auto Camp
Ground property, requesting that the said premises be no longer used as a camp ground, but
laid out and maintained as a pleasure or ornamental park. Discussion followed between
petitioners and members of the Council and without objection the matter was laid over to
the next meeting for further hearing.
The petition of Cline's Electric Shop for permit to replace an electric sign
at Kamm's Garage was granted on motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes.
Claim of J. Lamas in the sum of 45.00 for expense of surgeons attendance
incurred through injury received -while in employ of the City was allowed on motion of
C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes.
Matter relative to proposed merging of City Health .Department with County
alth Unit continued to the next meeting on motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbe�.
In re hearing in reference to unpaid assessments fnr Mardh.Street ( Joint )
rovement continued from April 20th : Resolution No. 178 ( New Series ) , A
olution relating to the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the City of San Luis Obispo
t to Resolution of Intention No.171 ( New Series ), determining the amount of unpaid
ssessments, prescribing the denomination of such Bonds, and providing for the delivery of
aid Bonds, was introduced and adopted on motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes
the following vote :
