City Hall, I:ionday, Januar-7 17th 1927 - 7 :30 F.L.I.
City Council met in regular session - i:layor L.F.Sinsheimer presiding.
Present : C.i:1.Carpenter,, John Chapek, H.E. Co-_, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Absent : None.
The minutes of January 3d and 10th were read and approved as read on notion of
Chas Fcirbes seconded by H.F,.Cox.
The following applications for permit to-build were granted on motion of H.E.Cor_
seconded by John Chapek: ' I

On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by Chas ?orbes the application of Pearle V.Walterhouse
for permit to connect with the City Sewer on lower Higuer street was granted.

Higuera Street to I:irs. Dollie iv:c Been was referred .:to :tho Commissioner of Public'.Health
and Safety for report on motion of H..Cox seconded by Chas Forbes.
Application of Arthur Gorda for appointment as Traffic Officer was received and
ordered filed on motion of C.- :: .Carpenter seconded by H.E. Cox.
On motion duly seconded and carried the City =Lttorney was directed to draft
proper Resolution , covering the matter of the closing of a portion of Lorraine Terrace and
a portion of Boulevard del Campo, as petitioned for by the Southern Pavific Company, and
present to the Council.
Applications of Welch Bros.,1638 Osos'Street and of Page Cash Store, 420 High Street,
for licenses for Cigars Sideline were granted on motion of C.H. Carpenter seconded by
H.L.Cox.

The petition of Dr. P.A.I:Tullikin for permit to remove an electric sign from 845 1
Higuera Street to*990- onterey Street was'granted,subject to the usual restrictions,
on motion
of C.I:i.Carpenter seconded.by Chas Forbes,
The petition of the Methodist Church for permit to install a gasoline storage
tank with pump, on the church property corner of I,Iorro and Pacific Streets, was granted on
motion of C.Ml.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes with the provision that the work be done
up-der the supervision of the City Bngineer,
Application of roster & Xleiser Company for sign , Marsh Street between Osos and
Santa Rosa Streets and Deed of Chris Lnholm laid over to the next meeting.
In re Ma-P of " Yoakum Poultry Units" ; Discussion. On motion of
C.I,I.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the matter was referred to the City engineer for
inspection and report at the next meeting.
°In re revision of Salaries of City Employees :, Commmittee submitted schedule. '
Discussion. It was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by John Chapek that the schedule
of wage as presented by the Committee be adopted as read City Attorney to draft
Resolution for the next meeting.
The matter of change in street line on lower Higuera Street was referred back to
the Commissioner of Finance and Revenue and the City attorney for further report , on motio
of C.I�.%Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox,

On motion of H.H.Cox seconded by John Chapek the meeting adjourned to I,•ionday,
January, 24th at 7 :30 2.11.
