Petition of Virgil Negranti et al praying; for the grading and graveling of that

It was ordered that the petition be received and placed on file and that the matter be
referred to the Co—nimissioner of Public 'idorks for investigation and report to the Council.

and sidewalks and by paving the unpaved portion of said Street to the North City limits —
also for the construction of a Drain, cot:raonly referred to as the I :ionterey Street Storm Dr
I:_atter Discussed. It was moved by C.I:_.Carpenter and seconded by Chas Forbes that the
Petition be received and filed , and the City Engineer instructed to prepare tentative plan
and specifications for the performance of the work as outlined in the petition, and submit
same to the Council.
The reports of the City Clerk and City Treasurer for the month of January were
received and ordered filed on motion of C.LI.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes.

bliss Grace Barnebero- speaking for the Park Committee of the Monday Club,
explained to the Council that the Coi- .miittee had hoped to be able to present definite plans
on the proposal-to acquire-- Kitchell Lot for Park purposes, but that on account of delay in
securing needed information the matter would be presented definitely at a later date.
Communication received from uenderson lviotorcycle Sales Co quoting price on
1:otorcycle was received and ordered filed.
On motion of C.I:i.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the request of the local-:
Parlor of the Itative.Daughters of the Golden hest for permit to sell Poppies on the
Streets was granted.
Ordinance No. 120 ( Idew Series;) An Ordinance abandoning I:iinor Street,
providing for the execution of a Deed conveying the Title to said Street, providing for the
acquisition of a new Street and fixing the Official name of said new Street was finally
passed on motion of C-1,-Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox by the following vote:
Ayes : C.I.I.Carpenter, H.E.Cox, Chas Forbes, L.F.Sinsheimer.
Noes : Itone.
Absent : John Chapek.
On favorable report and motion of C.IJ.Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox the
application of I.iargaret !!.Davis for license for Lodging House at 985 Chorro Street was
granted , as was also the petition of lars. L.B.Gale for transfer of license for Lodging
rouse at 143 Santa Barbara avenue to L.E.;'lilcox.
On motion duly seconded and carried the petition of Ada L. Rockwell for permit
hang a Board sign at 1015 I.1orro Street was granted with the provision that the sign be
removed at the pleasure of the Council.
On motion of C.I% Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes , Foster and Kl.eiser Co
were permitted to erect a sign board in Block 23, ITorthwest Corner of Higuera and Santa :os
Streets, with the provision that the said sign be erected in accordance with the plan final y
determined upon. The same Company was aldo permitted to place a sign in Block 29, south
side Higuera Street between Santa 11osa and Toro Street.
Where was discussion relative to an Ordinance governing soliciting patronage
forr'otels on the Streets and other public places.
The City attorney brought up the matter of the issuance of Bonds to cover
unpaid assessments for the improvement of Lill and other Streets and Buchon Street.
It was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by C.I,1.0arpenter that the matter of the issuance
of Bonds to cover mzpaid assessments for`the improvement of Idill and other Streets be
deferred to the meeting of February 28th at 7:30 P.I:i.
It was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by C.LI.Carpenter that the matter of the issuance
of Bonds to cove +_Mpaid assessments on the improvement of Buchon Street be deferred to the
meeting of February 28th at 7 :30 P.m
Resolution Ito. 215 (.New Series) A Resolution of the City Council of the
ity of San Luis Obispo proposing Two Amendments to the Charter of the City of San Luis Obis o,
nd providing for the submission of the same to the qualified electors thereof for adoption
nd ratification at the General Eunicipal Election to be held on the fourth day of April,
927, was introduced and adopted on motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.3'.Cox by the
ollowing vote:
