City Council met in adjourned session - Iaiayor I.F.Sinsheimer presiding.

The following applications for permit to build were granted on motion of

Application received from I:?rs. IaIabel Snyder for permit to lay 50 ft of 6 ft
park sidewalk on the South side of Leff Street between Chorro and Morro Street. The
application was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek with the provision
that a 5 ft park sidewalk be laid in lieu of the 6 ft walk as petitioned for.
On motion duly seconded and carried George A. Isola was granted two sewer
connections on Palm Street between Chorro and Eorro Street.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H..Cox the following applications for
permit to hang Electric Signs were referred to the Commissioner of Public 1i L S for report:
P.R.Corda , 1044 Ilonterey Street; Firs Dollie 11u Keen, 740 Higuera Street , and Robert's
Coffee Shoppe at 962 I.1onterey Street.
The application of Paul H.Kriner, for appointment as Traffic Officer was ordeked
filed on motion of C.I:I.Carpenter seconded by H.E.Cox.
On motion of C.I:I.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the application of City
Board of Education for Giater Service for new High School Buildings to be erected was referred
to the Commissioner of Public 'lJorks for investigation and report to the Co;ancil.
A petition was received from Fred I Garrett requesting a compromise relative
to Delinquent Tax against lots 7 & 8 Isabel Tract,assessed in the name of Sophia A.Sullivan
and aggregating the sum of a 203.39. It was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by
C.1--,.Carpenter that the sum of $ 101.50 be accepted by the City of San Luis Obispo in settle
ment of all delinquent Taxes assessed against lots 7 & 8 Isabel Tract, and upon receipt of
such sum the City Clerk is directed to cancel such delinquent assessments. i.Iotion Carried
On favorable report and motion of C.M.Carpenter seconded by Chas Forbes the
application of Jennings Tent Theatre for license for Tent Dramatic Show for the week of
I,..Iarch 7th to Idarch 13th inclusive was granted.
It -.,;as moved by C.I,1.Cargenter and seconded by Chas Forbes that the City Att
submit,for consideration of the Council at the next meeping, a proper Resolution defining
matter of placing the matter of the acquisition of Exposition Park on the ballot at the
I:Iunicipal election April 4th. Carried.
It was :moved by C.H.Carpenter and seconded by Chas Forbes that it is the
intention of the Council that the present premises used as an ::uto Park or Camp Ground be
abandoned for that use and that formal action to this effect be taken on I:iarch 14th.

This being the time and place fixed for hearing protests in re the proposed
improvement of Plam and other Streets as set forth in Resolution of Intention Ido 214(New Series)
the fetter was now taken up by the Council. 1.iritten protests by the Southern Pacific
Railroad Company and the Bouthern Pacific Co, also by Fred D.Iogna et al, property owners
along the line of the said proposed improvement east of Johnson Street were received.
Attorney S.V.':itight appeared for protesting property owners.. D.I:iuzio and C.A.1 -iaino
spoke.for the improvement.

On favorable report and motion of C.I1.Carpenter seconded by Chas Zorbes the
application of Joe Lucera for license for Bakery at 885 Higuera street was granted.

Victor Bakery, was granted on motion of C.I'.i.Carpenter seconded by I;.,.0ox as was also th

Chris Anholm and Johanne 1_.Anholm, conveying to the City of San Luis Obispo a certain strip

in the City Street Lighting System. City to assume responsibility for lighting same
for a period of five hours nightly.
