On motion duly seconded and carried the. following applications for permit to
connect with the City Sewr::r were granted,- the last named, with the provision that yhe work
be done under the supervision of the City Engineer:
O.F.Vail - Peach Street between Toro and Essex Street.

C.Van Proyen - i.:onterey Street between Chorro and l:iorro Street.

Commi::sioner of Public ': ?orks for report to the Council.
On motion of Chas Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox the applications of V.Im.F.Gore for
licenses for Cigars Sideline and Soft Drinks at 2145 Broad Street were referred to the
Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report.
On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek, and with the provision that the
work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer, Chris Steiner was permitted to
cut pavement on Santa _'osa Street between ?rill and Peach Street for purpose of making
certain repairs to sewer.

referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for report on motion of H.E.Cox
seconded by John Chapek.

The petition of the Union Oil Company for permit to erect two telephone poles
om Palm Street between the extension of Park Street and Grand Avenue, also the petition of
C.A.3alsley et al for Sewer service on I,:Iountaiil View Street ( Anholm.Addition ) , were
referred to the Co�mmissioner of Public ':orks for report to the Council.
The reports of the City Collector and the Police Judge for the month of
February, and those. of the Pound i:iaster for the months of January and February were receive
and ordered filed on motion of Chas 'Forbes seconded by H.E.Cox.
San I._uis Obispo County extended an invitation to the Council to, attend the
dedication of the new U.S.Customs House at Port Son. Luis on Saturday, I:iarch 19th. On motion
of Chas Forbes seconded by John-e--Chapek the invitation was received t-lith' thanks - those
wishing to attend to.accept the invitation.
Claims against the Cityfor the month of February were ordered paid subject to
the approval of the heads of the respective departments, on motion of Chas Forbes seconded
by John Chapek.
Report of Engineer ':iarren B. Burch on Sewage Disposal received. it was.moved
by C.I,i.Carpenter and seconded. by Chas N'orbes to adopt report of _E�igineer Burch on Severer
disposal plan, end acceptance by this Council of the recommendation therein for the construct-
ion of an outfall sewer system to the ocean.

i.ir. Li.l.Cook of the Auto Club addressed the Council.on matters relative to
traffic.
On favorable report and motion. of C.;-.Carpenter eeconded by Chase Forbes the

It. was moved by Chas Forbes and seconded by H.B.Cox that the City Engineer
furnish plans and specifications.for the work as outlined in estimate furnished, for remov
of curbs and reconstruction of.curbs for such sidewalks as are no.; in place on lower
Higuera Street.
It was moved::by C.I.I.Carpenter, seconded by H.i.Cox and carried that the City
construct a 4" .'later line from Higuera and Grove Street to the property line of the
High School property.
