Cost 260.00 L.W.Luchessa — remodel front of Bldg , Part lot a Block 99 Cost 40,00 The application of S.J.Lusardi for permit to lay 50 ft of 5 ft park sidewalk and e, r curbing on the South side of Higguera Street east of Grove Street, lot 4 Block 6 Central addition, was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset, On motion.of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the application of John 3.Smee for permit to cut pavement 2' x 14' in front of Lot 1 Block 149 liarford Addition, Higuera Stree between South Street and French Street, for purpose of installing new water service connection for new building of 3.F.Fukanaga, was referred to the Commissioner of Public Works for investigation and report to the Council at the next meeting, Application of H.C.kinsman for permit to connect Lot 26 Block 2 Caudill Tract # 2 , with main public sewer on Lawton Street between Caudill Street and the South City limits, was granted on motion of H.E.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer, with the provision that the work be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. The reports of the City Clerk and the City Treasurer for the month ohding June 30th. 1931 were received and ordered filed on motion.of H.E.Cox seconded by L.J.Defosset. 030 This being the time and place fixed for Hearing of protests on the. Assessment or the improvement of Pacific Street under Resolution of Intention No. 346 ( New Series ) , 0 he matter was now taken up by the Council. Written protest vas filed by T.A.Greenleaf. rotestant heard. PdYatter discussed, carried that the protest be over ruled. It was moved by L.J.Defosset, seconded by H.E.Cox Resolution No. 358 ( New Series ) . Approving the Assessment for the Improvement a portion of Pacific Street, in the City of San Luis Obispo was introduced and adopted on Motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek by the following vote : Ayes-: J.B.Berkemeyer, John Chapek, H.E.Cox, L.J.Defosset, L.F.Sinsheimer. Eoes : None. Absent : None. The application of Mrs, J. Henckendorff for permit to hang s Neon Electric Sign at 885 Higuera &treat , and of ifirs. M.F.Simmons for permit to hang a metal and wooden sign at 740 I,Yarsh Street were granted ; on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek, with the provision that said signs be hung in accordance with Ordinance. The application of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company for permit to open pavement on Murray Street for the purpose of installing underground conduit was again taken up. It was moved by H.E.Cox and seconded by L.J.Defosset that the application be granted,with the provision that steel pipe be driven under pavement.
