HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/08/1932PJ 'Resolution No. 370 ( New Series.) , A resolution declaring a portion of Garden Stre to be and constitute a Boulevard, was introduced and adopted, on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox by the following vote : Ayes : J.B.Berkemeyer, John Chapek, H.E.Cox, L.J.Defosset Noes None. Absent : L.F.Sinsheimer. On motion of L.J.-Defosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the application of F.T.Imboden for license for Restaurant at 412 Higuera Street, Baldwin Service station , was granted. Application of '•.tadam Jeanett for license for Palmistry was denied, on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by J.B.Berke ;leyer. On motion of H.E.Cox seconded byL.J.Defosset the application of the Pacific Tele and Telegraph Company for pen_iit to do certain work at Ida and Marsh Streets, as set opat in application on file, was granted . The matter of the a;:•plication of ,:irs. ll.H.l:iills for permit to lay curbing on High Street ; Salvation Army for shelter for unemployed at 868 Palm Street; and, the matter of certain unpaid licenses were again continued. Oni:motion of L.J.Deosset seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the following lieenses were ordered cancelled : October Quarter:1931: # 737 — The Coffee Pot Lunch Counter 5.00 October Juarter 1931: #1265 — The Coffee Pot Soft Drinks 5.00 10.00 The .report of the City Collector on licenses for the January quarter 1932 was laid over for one week. On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the Commissioner of Supplies was authorized to purchase a " Gas Gun " for the Police Department. On motion of H.E.Cox seconded by J.B.
