Licenses remaining unpaid for January and April quarters were referred to the
Chief of Police for report at the next meeting.
On motion of John Ch:e,pek seconded by H..-'.Cox the Coan.issioner of Supplies was
authorized to purchase a Ford ruto- obile, at a cost not to exceed 35.00 , for the use of the
:Meter reader in the !:rater Department.

On motion of H.B.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer the application of K. Katsumoto for
license for Laundry at 214 =iguera Street was referred to the Co,:i:sissioner of Public health and
Safety for report to the Council.
The applications of I.irs. Bmilita Lyman for licenses for Lunch Counter and Soft Dr
at Pacific and Higuera atreets were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety
for investigation and report to the Council, on motion of H.F,.Cox seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
The Ialerchz::ndising Bond of Iuilford E. Weis, Surety Sun Inderuiity Company, was
cancelled on motion of H.ir.C'ox seconded by L-J.Defo:3set.
Application of Anita Hathnay for permit to build a residence and Garage on lot 7
Block 7 Hathway Addition at a cost of a 3,500.00 was granted on motion of H -E.Cox seconded by

On motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by H.E.Cox the application of C.;i.Long for
per.iit to install a twin meter puzp and one 290 gallon gasoline storage tank at Longs' Service
Station, Monterey and Palm Streets was granted .
Application of Lora 'Thomas for permit to hang a w ,)od and metal sign at 1011 1:iorro
Street was denied on motion of L.J.Defosset seconded by John Chapek.
The petition of the Christian Science Church, by 1:1arie J.Gist, Clerk , for permit
to place sign posts at I:iarsh and Garden Streets, and at Higuera and Garden Streets, was laid
over for further investigation and report.

and Santa -iosa Streets, as set out in application,. and blue print on file, was granted,on moti
of H.E.Cox seconded by John Chapek, with the provision that work be done under the supervision
of the City--Engineer.
Petition of the County of San Luis Obispo.for per :ait to connect a proposed Sewer on
Grand Avenue with the main line of the City Sewer at Grand Avenue and '.1urray Street , was
again zontinued pending the filing of specifications for said proposed work. City Attorney
to draft Resolution.
The City _attorney rresented a draft of a proposed Ordinance licensing Contractors.
