City' Council met in regulat session - :ayor I.P.Uinsheimer presiding.

The minutes of July 18th and July 25th were read and approved as read on motion of
John Chapek seconded by H.=.Cox.
The application of Ers. Geo Lohler for permit to build an addition to a garage on
past of lots 5 & 6 310ck 5 at a cost of $ 50.00 tifas grated on motion of H.E.Cox seconded
by John Chapek.
jpplications of the Valley Electric company for per ,pit to hang I;eoll Signs for
Covell Shoe `hop, ;:orro Street, and for the V=Mey Electric Company at 851 Higuera .treet,
were referred to the CoFamissioner of Public Health and Safety for report to the Council.
The reports of the City Collector and the Police Judge for the month of July 1952,
were received and ordered filed, on motion of John Chapek seconded by J.B.Berkemeyer.
Claims against the City for the month of July 1952 were ordered paid, subject to the
approval of the heads of the respective depart;aents, on ::lotion of John Chapek seconded by
L.J.Defosset.
The applications of C.D.Johnson for licenses for Soft Drinks and Cigars :3ideline at
i:iarsh and Osos atreets, - said merchandise to be sold from a Stand on Auto Chassis, on the
Iresbyterian Church property, were granted on motion of L.J.:Defosset seconded by John Chapek,
with the provision that subject matter be removed at the will and pleasure of the Council.

he applications of Cline's Electric shop for per,ait to hang Icon signs for
,'sirs. 3etty Cha`fee at 1604 Osos street, and for :.irs. Edith Axtell at 1819 Osos :street were
granted, with the provision that said signs be flung in ,_c•.Jrdeilce with the provisions of
Ordinance and under the supervision of the City 2'ngineer.
Resolution Ido. 574 ( idew :series ) A :resolution authorizing the grant of a rigl.t -of-
a,ay to ':idland Counties Public Service C.,rporation , in accordance with application � 203,
was introduced and adopted, oil motion of John Chapek seconded by L.J.Defosaet by the following
vote:
