Vice President of the Council L.J.Defosset sent : J.B.Berkemey-er, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary. bsent :.Mayor L.F.Sinsheimer. The minutes of October 7th and 14th were read and approved as read. on motion my seconded and carried. On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the following applications for ernit to build were granted lare A. Borah - Addn to garage lot 3 ibit: Pleasanton Square Cost 50000 ra Whitaker & Alice Bordine- Porch enclosure Lot i4 Block 4 Central Addn Cost 150.00 uiseppe Itiiilani - Addn to building, part Block el Cost 35100 asonic Hall Assn-:Change Store Front Lots 12 & 13 Block 100 M.V. Cost 450.00 On favorable report and motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the follow pplications for permit to repair sidewalk were granted : J.C.Paradis - Repair 350 ft of full width sidewalk in Block 30 ( 310 ft on South side of Monterey Street and 40 ft on west side of Toro Street ). Henry Bode - To fill in park area of present sidewalk for a distance of 50 ft, on the South side of Pismo Street between Archer Street and Carmel Street. The petition of Clora Jae Intosh for transfer of licenses for Mdse ( Confect. Lunch Soft Drinks,etc) and Cigars Sideline at 280 Higuera Street to Tony Machado, granted on motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell. The report of the City Clerk for the month of September 1935 received and ordered filed on motion duly seconded and carried, Petition of J.C.Paradis for permit to install Two ( 2 ) 10,000 gallon underground soline storage tanks in Block 30, corner of ?:Ionterey and Toro Streets, for Hancock Oil ompany Service Station and Wholesale Depot, referred to the Commissioner of Public Health Safety for investigation and report to the Council: R.Bassi appeared re amount alleged to be due him for removal of certain trees on over Higuera •Street. Matter discussed and on motion of Joseph Leary seconded by .B.Berkemeyer the said matter was referred to the Commissioner of Finance for adjustment. Application of Cline's Electric Shop for permit tp hang a taeon Sign at 898 Montere; treat for ineid and Erdman was granted, on favorable report of the Commissioner of public ealth and Safety, with the provision that said sign be hung according to the provisions Ordinance. On motion of J.B.Berkemeyer seconded by R.P.Howell the meeting adjourned to monday, October 28th 1935, at 7:30 P.B7. (Ayes : J.B.Berkemeyer, L.J.Defosset, R.P.Howell, Joseph Leary.
