A Resolution relating to the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the City of San Luis Obispo, pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 518, (New Series) Determining the amount of unpaid assessments, prescribing the denominations of such bonds, and providing.for their issuance) and delivery was adopted upon the following roll call vote: I Ayes: +I.H.Brazil, R.F. Kimball, Joseph Leary Noes: None - Absent: None The City Attorney presented to the Council, an Agreement between the Econolite Corporation and the City of San Luis Obispo in reference to the rental of a set of General Electric Novalux traffic signals to be installed at the intersection of Higuera and Chorro Streets, also, a Resolution providing for the execution of-said Agreement. Upon motion of W. H. Brazil, seconded by R. F. Howell, Resolution No. 554 / (New Series) - A Resolution providing for the execution of an Agreement between the City of San Luis Obispo and the Econolite Corporation was adopted upon the following roll call vote: Ayes: 1W.H. Bauman, Trainmaster of the Southern Pacific Railroad Co., San Luis Obispo, relative to the whistling of engines, be received and placed on file. Following the reading of a communication from the Salvation Army relative to contribution to:vard the maintenance of the army kitchen for feeding of transients, it was moved by R. P. Howell, seconded by W. H. Brazil that the sum of $25.00 per month be con- tributed for such purpose for the months of December, January and February. Motion carried The petition of Cecil 0. Day for permit to stand a peanut . and popcorn wagon on the South side of Monterey 3treet between Court Street and Osos Street from 4 P. 1.4. to 11 P. P.'I. of each day for the purpose of vending peanuts and popcorn was received. After discussion, the petition was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety for investigation and report to the Council. The applications of C. E. Easter for license.- for Boarding House and Lodging use at 977 Santa. Rose Street were referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safet for investigation end report to the Council. P. Howell, seconded by H. Brazil said application was referred to the Commissioner of Public Health and Safety nd the Police Department for investigation and report. Claims against the City for the month of December, 1940 were ordered paid on otion of Ralph C. Kennedy, seconded by !7.
